Ergonomic Assessments

ErgonomicMore typically than not patients are referred to our office who can not remember how their injury or pain developed. However upon close examination it is clear they have developed a muscle imbalance, tendinitis or

bursitis directly related to work and sitting postures, equipment position or tool sizing. Ergonomic assessments help establish basic principles of equipment spacing and position of chair height and work station design to reduce stress and prevent injury.

Office or outpatients are instructed in proper ergonomics including positioning at home computers, driving or sitting positions in cars and household activities. Often ergonomic or positional changes must be made in the office work station to provide a more ideal work posture. We may recommend repositioning or the purchase of office equipment such as ergonomic chairs, monitor holders, lap top holders, keyboard trays or lumbar supports.
